A long soak in the tub is an old-time remedy for whatever ails you. These easy-to-make bath salts release the ­invigorating scent of pine.

• Pine needles
• Epsom salts or rock/kosher salt

RELATED CONTENT

1. In a dish or jar with a lid, layer pine needles stripped from a branch with epsom salts or rock or kosher salt.

2. Cover and store in a dark place for three weeks.

3. To use, pour 2 tablespoons of bath salts under running water as the tub is filling.
