• In a large carafe or pitcher, combine a bottle of dry white wine with 1 cup dry sherry, or to taste.
• Add a big handful of fresh lemon verbena leaves and a 1-inch piece of peeled and sliced ginger root.
• Cover with plastic wrap and chill for about two hours.
• To serve, remove the ginger and lemon verbena leaves and pour the wine into wineglasses. Garnish with a fresh sprig of lemon verbena.
