• Gather thirteen (or any other odd number) fresh lavender stems
and secure them with a rubber band just below the blossoms. Holding
them upside down, bend the stems down one by one.
• Anchor the end of a ribbon (at least 3 yards long and 1/4 inch
wide) under your thumb. Begin weaving the free end over and under
the stems. After a few rows, let go of the flowers, hold at the
top, and continue weaving the ribbon until all the blossoms are
encased.
• Wind the remaining ribbon around the stems and tie or pin to
secure.
