Featured comment (in response to 7 Tips for Everyday Outdoor Gardening, Part 1) from Jim Long:
"Drying herbs on a newspaper on the front seat can potentially ruin the herbs. Why? Sunshine, and light in general, quickly evaporates the essential oils. A way you might enjoy more (and still put an herbal stink on your car) is to take a double handful of the herb or flower you want to dry. Put it in a brown paper bag, close it with a paper clip or clothes pin and put it in the trunk (or between the seats) of your car. Summer or winter, the herbs dry in about a week. The paper wicks the moisture out, the opaque paper keeps out light and the entire bag should be dry in about 7 days. Give it a shake from time to time if you want. It works!"
