This rich and buttery cream gives the under-eye area extra care and conditioning at night, while the skin rests and repairs itself. Cocoa butter and coconut oil traditionally have been used to treat fine lines around the eyes and mouth. They help soften and protect delicate skin. This eye cream is very rich, so use sparingly; a small amount is all you need for soft, healthy skin in the morning. Getting a good night’s rest also will do wonders for your eyes and skin. Look for cocoa butter in the skin-care aisle of the grocery store or natural food store.
• 2 tablespoons grated cocoa butter
• 3 tablespoons coconut oil
1. Mix ingredients together in a small saucepan or container and heat gently, but do not boil.
2. Pour into a small, clean container and allow mixture to cool completely. Apply nightly under your eyes to soothe and condition your skin.
