The honey in this mixture contains vitamin B complex, vitamins C, D, and E, and sugar acids, which stimulate the sloughing of dead skin cells. Powdered milk contains sugars as well as enzymes that help cleanse the skin surface. Yucca contains saponins, which foam when shaken with water.
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon powdered milk
- 1 teaspoon yucca root, powdered
- 1 teaspoon warm water
- Mix all of the ingredients, then let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- Apply to a wet face with a light, circular motion.
- Remove by rinsing with warm water, and follow with a toner to restore acid balance and a nonpetroleum moisturizer. This cleanser may be used up to twice a week.
