When you’ve worked all day and still have a meeting to attend at night, try this treatment for an energy boost. It is very stimulating, so don’t use it before going to bed or when you’re trying to relax. Rosemary and sage contain moderate amounts of niacin, potassium, and zinc, and the volatile oil in eucalyptus is antimicrobial and refreshing.

- 1 tablespoon dried or fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried or fresh sage
- ½ tablespoon dried or fresh eucalyptus leaves
- ¼ cup oats
- Place ingredients on a piece of muslin or a handkerchief, tie them up with a string or by simply tying the corners of the cloth together; or purchase small muslin bags, available in natural food stores.
- Place the bag in the tub while it fills with water. The bag acts like a giant tea bag, turning your bath into a therapeutic herbal tea.
- Use the soaked bag to scrub your skin. If you prefer showers, soak the bag of herbs in the shower and then use it like a washcloth.
