- 1 gallon dry red wine
- 1 cup sugar (more to taste)
- ½ cup lemon juice
- 1 stalk borage
- Crystallized borage flowers
- Lemon slices
- In a large nonmetallic container, pour the red wine, lemon juice and sugar. Add the borage stalk, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- At serving time, remove the borage, pour the wine into a chilled punch bowl and decorate it with crystallized borage flowers and lemon slices.
