The smooth and pleasing taste of ginger blends wonderfully with many flavors. Instead of or in addition to lavender, try lemon or orange zest, lemon balm, hibiscus, or mint.

• 4 tablespoons fresh gingerroot, peeled and sliced
• 4 teaspoons lavender
