Case Studies: Herbal Digestive Teas

Over the years, I’ve found that most patients prefer capsules or tablets to teas because of the convenience and because of taste. The digestive teas listed here are a big exception. Popular because they taste good and work more quickly than capsules, they are rapidly absorbed and affect the entire digestive tract. These teas are made by steeping 1 teaspoon of the coarsely ground herbs per cup of water for 20 minutes. For heavier barks and roots, simmer for 10 minutes, then steep for 20.
